Grab your dusters and lanterns we’re heading into the attic!
You crawl in on your stomach carving a deep trench through the dust and dirt. your body Convulses as you notice all the discarded video games from disappointing Christmases passed. You trip over savage cables from rusty old playstations and super nintendos. And you vomit as you smell the ungodly stench of an original gameboy colour. But suddenly you sense something overwhelming; a greater power has been watching your clumsy exploration. Your heart stops as you become aware of that knowing, shiny white box. The pale blue swirl on its face seems to wink at you as you stare gormlessly straight back. In your last dying moments you reach out for the Sega Dreamcast and fall to the ground rolling in tears. After many wasted years man has been reunited with its true best friend. You climb out of the attic hand in hand and stroll towards the glowing television screen, ready to make up for lost time.
That’s right ladies and gentlemen, this December the third we are celebrating Shenmue for the Dreamcast.
I believe Shenmue to be the world’s greatest adventure, computer game for the Dreamcast ever. It’s a truly beautiful piece of digital artwork and it changed my life. I suggest that you all pop to your local computer console distributer this evening and grab yourself a Dreamcast and a copy of Shenmue. Get ready for your dreams to be realized. Techno wiz kids and thieves will probably go and steal it from the internet now. I do not promote that. Unless GAME has foolishly forgotten to stock up on Dreamcasts this winter! *Seriously video game piracy is a crime, don’t do it!
The game starts in a stunning winter environment, it’s a sad beginning to the story but the scenery makes it so beautiful you wont even care. In the winter months of the game the streets become dressed with Christmas decorations, and apparently if you walk the streets on Christmas day you can even see Santa Claus strolling about. Stupendous! Don’t forget to say hi from me! 😉 xxxx
